7

My Sweet, beautiful girl turns 7 today. Really? 7? Where did the time go? This was a big year for her. She learned to ride a bike in a day. She had her first year of homeschool. And somewhere along the line she decided she was too old for princess stuff and didn't want a themed bedroom anymore. Just pink & brown. Chris and I were talking last night and we feel 7 more than 6. She is truly growing up before our eyes.

This year she began consistently journaling and it is full of her humor, pictures, thoughts on the days and beautiful prayers. She loves sharing her journal with her Dad on Sunday nights. It's become a special time between the two of them. A week ago she wrote this out in her journel and was excited to share it with us. I'm trying to get it scanned but haven't succeeded yet. So I wrote it out exactly as she had it:

"Dear Lord, Please help anut Michall and please help every person who needs help, inside and out. And lord please help grace church be a sucsess. And we know that you are always with us and we can never run away from you. I also pray that I be a Christian. I think I might be now.
And in Jesus's name.... AMEN"

This is all written out with no help from us and there are prayers like this all throughout her journal. Truly God is at work in her and we give Him all the praise and pray it only continues as she grows in age and understanding.

Taylor you are such a gift to your family! After I recover from her little sleepover with a few friends last night I'll post some pictures.

We seriously love that 7 year old of yours! (Enough that I kinda hope the 7 year old over here takes notice .... ummm, if he hasn't already, ha ha ... in about TWENTY years from now.) She is not only a blessing to you, but to everyone who is around your family. As a mother, it is amazing to read that she is already aware of God's work in her heart, even at this age. Praise God! I hope she had a fantastic birthday party, and that you RECOVER from it soon! =D

Oh Wow! Seven years old! Just the thought of it made Jason and I reminisce this morning. Taylor was born while we were on our honeymoon. We can't believe all that has happened these past seven years! And we are SO THANKFUL that God has blessed us with your friendship! And Taylor, what an amazing, beautiful, tender, intelligent little girl! Who, by the way, still looks just like her mother! Can't wait to see you soon!
